Background & Aims: There is no self-management to control the pain of heart patients, and these patients perform self-management using their own resources after coronary artery bypass graft surgery. The aim of this study was to determine the effect of acceptance-based self-management training on pain intensity in patients undergoing coronary artery bypass graft surgery. Materials & Methods: This study is a clinical trial that was performed on 60 patients who were candidates for coronary artery bypass graft surgery. The samples were randomly divided into control and intervention groups. All patients received pain management self-management training immediately after hospitalization and were re-evaluated on the day of discharge.
