پیش‌زمینه و هدف: شناسایی موانع انجام پژوهش در پرستاری و رفع موانع موجود با ارائه راهکارهای بهبود پژوهش می‌تواند با گسترش دانش پرستاری منجر به ارتقاء کیفیت مراقبت‌های پرستاری شود. لذا این مطالعه باهدف کشف تجارب اساتید پرستاری در مورد موانع پژوهش در پرستاری و راهکارهای بهبود آن انجام گرفت.
مواد و روش‌ها: مطالعه حاضر با روش تحقیق کیفی و بـا رویکــرد تحلیــل محتــوا در ســال 1400 در دانشکده پرستاری و مامایی ارومیه انجام یافتـه اسـت. نمونه‌ها از بین اعضای هیئت‌علمی این دانشکده و با نمونه‌گیری مبتنی بر هدف انتخاب شدند. داده‌ها از طریق مصاحبه‌های باز و نیمه‌ساختاریافته با 14 نفر از اعضای هیئت‌علمی گروه پرستاری که حداقل دارای 4 سال سابقه کار پیوسته بودند جمع‌آوری شد. برای تجزیه‌وتحلیل داده‌ها از روش 6 مرحله‌ای تحلیل محتوای مرسوم گرانهیم و لاندمن استفاده گردید.
یافته‌ها: پس از تحلیل داده‌ها، دو طبقه اصلی "بازدارنده‌ها" و "راهبردها" به دست آمدند. طبقه بازدارنده‌ها با دو زیر طبقه موانع سازمانی، موانع انسانی؛ و طبقه راهبردها با چهار زیر طبقه حمایت سازمانی، حمایت بالینی، توانمندسازی محققان پرستاری و تشدید نظارت و کنترل کارهای پژوهشی حمایت شدند.
بحث و نتیجه‌گیری: نتایج به‌دست‌آمده از این مطالعه نشان داد که موانع متفاوتی از طرف دانشگاه، بیمارستان، پرستاران و اساتید پرستاری در امر پژوهش مطرح بوده و ارائه راهکارها می‌تواند برای سازمان‌ها، پرستاران و آموزش‌دهندگان پرستاری جهت ارتقاء حرفه پرستاری و بهبود عملکرد مبتنی بر تحقیق کاربردی باشد.
