About the Journal
Nursing and Midwifery Journal is approved by Publicity Affairs of Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance according to certificate number 124/1194 on 27 April 2003 as a quarterly and has been published on time. The ISSN is 3115-8242. This journal is a member of the Iranian Heart Association according to the reference number A.88.911 on 20 February 2010.

Open Access Policy

The Nursing and Midwifery Journal does not charge authors any fees for manuscript submission, editorial processing, peer review, or publication. There are currently no Article Processing Charges (APCs) or other mandatory publication fees.
Peer Review
All eligible manuscripts undergo an editorial assessment before being considered for external peer review. Manuscripts that meet the journal's scope and editorial requirements are evaluated through a peer-review process by independent reviewers.
The editorial decision is based on the scientific quality, originality, methodological rigor, relevance, ethical standards, and clarity of the manuscript, as well as the reviewers' comments and recommendations.

Editorial and Publication Timeline
The Nursing and Midwifery Journal aims to process submitted manuscripts in a timely manner. The approximate duration of the main stages of the editorial and publication process is as follows:

• First Editorial Decision: Approximately 1-2 weeks

• Peer Review: Approximately 3–6 weeks

• Acceptance to Publication: Approximately 3 weeks

During the past 12 months, the journal received 130 manuscripts. Of these, 34 manuscripts were accepted and 44 manuscripts were rejected, corresponding to an acceptance rate of approximately 26% and a rejection rate of approximately 34%.

Permission type
The journal grants usage rights to others using an open license (Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC)) allowing for immediate free access to the work and permitting any user to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of articles, crawl them for indexing, pass them as data to software, or use them for any other lawful purpose.

Nursing and Midwifery Journal is an open access peer-reviewed Quarterly journal. The journal aims to motivate, enhance and help to develop nursing and midwifery body of knowledge. It serves nursing and midwifery researchers, educators and practitioners who are interested in theoretical or applied aspects of their profession. Nursing and Midwifery Journal accepts Original Papers, Review Articles, Short Communications, Letters to the Editor, and Case Reports in a broad range of areas including basic science and medicine.
