Job burnout is one of the main factors in reducing the efficiency and causing physical and psychological issues. This may lead to remissness that some of the consequences of which are stalling for time and deliberately delaying. The aim of this study is to evaluate the effect of job burnout on nurses' remissness. Material & Methods: This study is cross-sectional. It was conducted on 110 nurses working in Yazd, who had been selected using simple random classified sampling. Burnout and remissness surveys were conducted to acquire data and validity and reliability of the surveys were confirmed by logical validity test and Cronbach's alpha. This data was analyzed by descriptive and inferential statistics, using 22nd version of SPSS and structural equation modeling, using PLS. Results: Although the result showed a significant association between aspects of job burnout and remissness, depersonalization doesn’t have any effects on remissness. Emotional exhaustion and failure in success, however, have the greatest impact on it. Also job burnout aspects are accounted for only about 0.25 of the remissness structures and male nurses are more remiss than female nurses. Situation of hospitals in all aspects and structures are in a relatively appropriate condition. Conclusion: Considering a structure as the variable of remissness, the offered amount (0.25) is significant and managers can help to lower job burnout by using arrangements such as strengthening motivation, increasing job satisfaction, reducing environmental stress and tension, and on-job training programs to improve the performance of organization.
