The data was analaysed by SPSS software and chi-square testsResults : Among 583 students, 28.48% are interested in medical majors, 26.59% in basic science, 19.38% in Humanities, 13.55% in Art and 12.01% haven’t any opinion. It is found that their selections were based on their intrests than occuption and financial matters. Conclusion: The result shows that at first girls are intrested in Medical majors, second in Basic Siences majors and third in Engineering then others and this rate is increasing during the recent years. Furthermore, the main point in selecting majors were intrest then welfare and financial safty in rether than intrest which is reasonable. This survery shows the extent of girls’knowledge and attitude toward the selection of their favourit majors. Also they discourage to choose Basic majors because of lack of job opportunities, low incomes and far away universities.

Introduction: Intravenous immune globulin (IVIG) treatment in isoimmune hemolytic jaundice has been shown to be effective. In this study two dose administration method of therapy was researched. Materials & Methods: In this study, the effect of two doses IVIG therapy was investigated in 56 babies who had ABO and Rh hemolytic disease. At admission all cases’ serum level of bilirubin was in range o f phototherapy treatment. Patients were divided into two groups. Groups Ι (cases=28) received two dose IVIG treatment plus phototherapy, group ΙΙ(control=28) received just phototherapy. Exchange transfusion rate, reduction of serum bilirubin levels and duration of phototherapy were compared between two groups. Results: Mean ages, weight, bilirubin level, hemoglobulin, hematocrite, reticulocyte, hospitalization days, exchange transfusion and reduction of bilirubin level were 2.35±1.25, 3.07.±2.5 days (p=0.19), 3026±305.95, 3152. ±295 grams (p=0.1), 17.62±2.38, 16.65±2.55mg/dc (p=0.14), 12.42 ± 1.21, 12.35±1.9 gram/dc (p=0.68), 36.58±4.5, 36.78±5.7percent (p=0.88), 5.6±2, 4.5±2.7percent (p=0.1), 2.8±1.3, 3.6±1.3 days (p=0.33), 0.0, 2.0 (p=0.002)and 7.9±0.46, 1.39±0.27mg/dl (p=0.021) for control and case group respectively. Conclusion: in spite of that baseline characteristics were similar in two groups there was significant difference at outcome of index. Regard to results of this study it was concluded that two doses IVIG treatment reduces the need of exchange transfusion and lowers serum bilirubin levels in neonatal isoimmune hemolytic jaundice.

Introduction: One of the most common ways for infectious pathogens transmission is dermal contact as the surgeons and particularly ophthalmologists are exposed with infected disease, the use of highly effective detergent with lower side effect is recommended. We compare the antiseptic effect of decosept and povidin iodine on hand skin normal flora.Materials and Methods: In a cross – over interventional study, 30 surgeons and operating room personnels were enrolled. Before and after hand washing with betadine sampling for culture was performed. After 3 weeks, this process was repeated, before and after handwashing by Decosept. Data were analyzed by using T-test, chi-square and fisher exact test. Results: Before use of betadine, 40% of culture results were positive, and after hand washing by bethadine this value is reduced to 20% (p=0.09). Before and after use of Decosept for hand washing, positive culter results were 33% and 3% respectively. This difference is significant (p=0.002).Conclusion: We conclude that the antiseptic effect of Decosept is higher than betadine.

THE SURVEY ON PHLEBITIS FROM VENOUS CATHETER IN PATIENTS HASPITALIZED IN ICU IN BESAT HOSPITAL IN SANANDAJ
N. Aliramaie
1
Introduction: In order to supply the water and other fluid flow, keep the balance of the most electrolytes and treat the patient in ICU,having a venous line is essential, and one of the common invasive methods is putting venous catheter.Although this kind of treatment can be considered so effective,it can cause some infections at hospital. According to Harrison idea we’d bether consider the length of putting catheter in the proper place and the quality of special care which will seldom cause infection in the body of the patient who is immunologically normal. Based on the reports there have been annually 25000 bacterimia cases caused by catheter in the U.S.A. In the cased of having no other infection,if the patient has high fever ,we’ll have to disconnect the catheter. The infection range in ICU is 25% compring to the total infection at the hospitalit would be better to mention that 16% of the above percentage is because of intravenous catheter. Thus, one of the hospital infections which is presented by high temperature can be caused by bacterimia related to medical instrument. Materials & Methods: The research is a descriptive one.Community of the research were all the ICU patients Enviroment of the research ICU in Besat hospital.Sample of the research was done patient concerning the mentioned goals of the recent research. Data getheing was done by a questionnaire containing (10) questions.Specifications of the sample: Admitted patients in ICU, GCS>-- Indotracheal intubation or tracheostomy, Non – used sedation drug. Results: Also in (49%) of cases the duration of venous catheter is 49 to 72 hours with p

Introduction: Stress is one of the major problem for nurses that effects on all aspects of nurses, life. Also it has negative effects on mental health. Because, nurses are facing very dangerous situations, so they have to provide them selves for these situations. By elemanating these stress, we can stop the down side of nursing care in our medical services systems therefore this research was performed to know relationship between social with mental health of nurses in intensive wards in selected hospitals in urmia , 1385 (2006).Methods and Materials: The subjects of research were 159 nurses which were tested by a questionnaire contained demographical information, General Health Questions (GHQ-28), and Social Supportive of House and Wells .Data were analyzed by Fisher Test and Ch2.Results : Findings showed that majority of nurses in intensive wards enjoyed a " good " level of general mental health. Their supportive resources from colleagues were good , but family supportive resources was ratherly weak . The male nurses, compared with females enjoyed better support of head- nurses and colleagues. There also was positive correlation between age and record of service with supportive their of spouse. Male nurses, compared with female ones had better support from their spouses. There was also a negative correlation between age and record of service with family supportive sources. The results also showed that single nurses, compared with married ones had a better family support. Female nurses, compared with male nurses, according to physical performance disorder index hadn’t a proper mental health. Nurses in fixed morning shifts, compared with those in fixed afternoon and night shifts have a more depression disorder index. There has also been a negative correlation between supportive resources of head-nurses with anxiety, sleep, and depression indexes. Conclusion: According to the results of the study , relationship between social supportive and mental health of nurses in intensive wards of selected hospitals of urmia , 1385 (2006) , statistical tests have rejected the research hypothesis . Perhaps this rejection is the effect of the small numbers of the sample.
