  A Survy on the Nursing-Related Factors Influencing Medication Error Incidence     Ahangarzadeh Rezaei S [1] *, Rahimi F [2] , Feizi A [3] , Bagaei R [4]     Received: 23 Oct, 2014 Accepted: 26 Dec, 2014    Abstract   Background & Aims : Medication errors are one of the most common causes of preventable health care Errors. Nursing personnel play an important role in patients care, and medication errors are serious threats for patient safety and nursing career. This study has been done in 2010 in order to evaluate nursing-related factors influencing medication error incidence in Sanandaj University of Medical Science University Hospitals.    Materials & Methods : This research is a descriptive analytical study in which 100 nurses participated. To collect the data, a two dimensional questionnaire was used. It included first demographic information (age, years of experience, and educational status) and second, questions about medication error in 5 compasses. The data were analyzed with SPSS software (version 16), Chi-square and descriptive tests.  Results: The results showed that all of the participants have committed medication error.19% of the nurses had 3 errors, 13%, 1 error.
