A Survey of Effective Factors on Mental Health of Employed Women in Urmia Moghadam Tabrizi F [1] Abstract: Introduction: Healith, according to definition of WHO, is a condition of complete physical, mental, and social health. Mental health may be defined as capability, in becoming coordinated with others, improving the environment, and solving the conflicts. WHO reported that 1% of world population suffers from severe mental diseases and 5‑15% of them have mild mental diseases. The reported incidence of mental disorders in Iran appears to be 18‑23%. Methods & Materials: This study is performed to investigate mental health condition of employed women in governmental sectors. Standard GHQ28 questionnaires were used for data collection and 1181 employed women were randomly selected. Results: The results showed that public health of employed women was more related to physical signs with 0.426 correlation coefficient. The public health situation score was respectively affected as follows: the relation coefficient of anxiety and insomnia was 0.406, severe depression was 0.264, and social disorder 0.22 1. Discussion: It is almost certain that some factors such as job security, improved facilities and better income had great effect on their lifestyle and appeared to reduce tension and depression signs.
