EFFECTS OF AEROBIC EXERCISE, ON WOMEN MENTAL HEALTH

Abstract
Background & Aims: Mental health of woman affects the society and family health. Special attention
should be to improve mental health methods. One of the methods is aerobic exercise. This study was
aimed to investigate the effectiveness of aerobic exercises on mental health of women.
Materials & Methods: In this study 36 women completed general health questionnaire then they were
divided into two groups of experimental and control. The experimental group did aerobic exercises for
10 weeks. At the end both groups filled the questionnaire again.
Results: The findings revealed a significant mental health improvement in the experimental group.
Reports made by women confirmed the results.
Conclusion: Considering the positive effects of aerobic exercises on mental health, it is recommended
to pay special attention to doing exercises in everyday life.
