Background & Aims: The aim of this study was the relationship between prenatal concerns, depression and quality of life with general health of pregnant women.
Material & Methods: The study was descriptive and correlation. The population of all pregnant women in the city Tabriz that from May to July 2016 had been referred to the office of obstetricians and Gynecologists, the number of which 420 are formed. The sample of 200 pregnant women with available samples and based on Morgan table of content of gynecologists were selected and studied. To collect the data, general health, Alderdice & Lynn Prenatal Distress Questionnaire, World Health Organization Quality of Life and Beck Depression Inventory were used. Data analysis was performed using Pearson correlation and regression analysis.
Results: The results showed that there is a significant negative relationship between the quality of life and general health of pregnant women. Also there is a significant negative relationship between public health, concerns and depression during pregnancy. In addition, results of regression analysis showed that depression, anxiety and quality of life during pregnancy can predict the general health of pregnant women are variable.
Conclusion: General health of pregnant women is one of the important issues of pregnancy and the results of this study can be used by doctors and specialists in the field of pregnancy.
