پیش‌زمینه و هدف: عفونت محل عمل جراحی عارضه‌ای شایع در عمل‌های جراحی است که علاوه بر اینکه هزینه زیادی را به بیمار و سیستم‌های بهداشتی تحمیل می‌کند، شانس مرگ بیماران را نیز افزایش می‌دهد. بسیاری از این عفونت‌ها قابل‌پیشگیری هستند و پرستاران به‌عنوان یک گروه‌درمانی که بیشتر از همه با بیماران درگیر هستند در این زمینه نقش حیاتی دارند. دانش بالای پرستاران در خصوص پیشگیری از عفونت جراحی نقش حیاتی در شناسایی افراد در معرض خطر و کنترل این وضعیت دارد. این مطالعه مرور سیستماتیک و متاآنالیز باهدف بررسی دانش پرستاران در مورد پیشگیری از زخم انجام شد.
مواد و روش کار: برای دسترسی به مقالات مرتبط، پایگاه‌های اسکوپوس، پابمد و آی اس ای بدون محدودیت زمانی با کلیدواژه‌های عفونت زخم جراحی، عفونت محل جراحی، عفونت زخم بعد از عمل، دانش، معرفت‌شناسی، آگاهی، پرستار و ترکیب آن‌ها جستجو شد. مطالعات مشاهده‌ای منتشرشده به زبان انگلیسی که دانش پرستاران در مورد پیشگیری از عفونت محل عمل جراحی را گزارش کرده بودند وارد تحلیل شدند. برای بررسی ناهمگونی میان مطالعات منتخب از Cochrane's Q test و I2 index استفاده شد. تجزیه‌وتحلیل داده‌ها به کمک مدل اثرات تصادفی و توسط نرم‌افزار STATA نسخه 16 انجام شد.
یافته‌ها: در جستجوی اولیه 204 مقاله یافت شد که 12 مورد واجد شرایط بوده و وارد تحلیل شدند. در 6 مطالعه نمره استاندارد دانش پرستاران در مورد پیشگیری از عفونت محل عمل جراحی گزارش شده بود که برابر 55درصد (با فاصله اطمینان 95%: 70-40) بود.
یافته‌های متارگرسیون نشان داد که در طول زمان نمره دانش پرستاران روند صعودی (190/0p=) داشت، اما با افزایش حجم نمونه مطالعات نمره دانش به‌طور معنی‌داری کاهش یافته بود (01/0p=). سوگیری انتشار در این مطالعه معنی‌دار بود (01/0p=). در 6 مطالعه دیگر هم‌سطح دانش پرستاران رتبه‌بندی شده بود که سطح دانش در 51 درصد پرستاران خوب و متوسط و در 49 درصد پرستاران پایین بود.
بحث و نتیجه‌گیری: پرستاران در خصوص پیشگیری از عفونت جراحی دانش ناکافی دارند و ارائه آموزش‌های لازم در خصوص استفاده از دستورالعمل‌های به روز جهت ارتقای دانش آن‌ها ضروری به نظر می‌رسد.
