  Background & Purpose : Workplace is one of the most common places for eye trauma. This study aimed to evaluat the worck-related eye injuries referring to alavi hospital.   Materials & Methods : The work – related eye injuries was evaluated among one thousand people with eye injuries during one year period by completing a formal qusstionaire.the collected data were analyzed with spss11 software.   Results:the average age was 32.3±10.6yr and 100% of injuries occurred in males.Most of cases aged between 21-30 , there was a significant relationship between eye trauma and age(x2=54, p = 0.004).the most common type of trauma were corneal foreign bodies(79.7%),keratitis(9.5%) and the most common tasks which resulted in accident were grinding (78.9%),chemical burns (1.4%). 44.2% of patients with injury to right eye admitted. For 61% of patient recived dress+Px. Conclusion : Emphasis on education and use eye protection at workplace and close observation on labor can lower the work – related eye injuries surprisingly .
