Background & Aims: Students' curriculum textbooks play an important role in the formation of their professional identities and their learning. The study of the attitudes of people associated with a profession is necessary to create optimization in education and improve the performance of the individuals involved in it. The purpose of this study is to determine the attitude of midwifery in order to benefit more from midwifery textbooks in midwifery education. Therefore, the aim of this study is to design and assess the reliability and validity of midwifery attitude questionnaire towards midwifery lessons. Materials & Methods: This is an analytical study. To determine the content validity, the Lavasian table method was used. Acceptance of phrases based on the score of at least 0.62 for content validity ratio and 0.79 for content validity index. For reliability, the questionnaire was completed by 30 midwifery teachers and then reliability was calculated using Cronbach's alpha and acceptance criteria was 0.75. The calculations were performed using SPSS software version 17. Results: According to interviews, 17 terms were determined. The three words were deleted because the content validity ratio was less than 0.62. The average value of the content validity ratio for the remaining terms was 0.83. Cronbach's alpha coefficient was 0.89. Conclusion: The midwives' attitude about midwifery textbooks is a lasting instrument and can measure the attitudes of various midwifery groups such as instructors, students and midwifery graduates to midwifery lessons.
