  A survey on the The lifestyle of the heart desease patients after discharge from hospital in Urmia seyyed alshohada in 1391   Abedi HA [1] *, Bik Mohammadi S [2] , Abdeyazdan Gh [3] , Nazari H [4]   Received: 22 May , 2013 Accepted: 24 Aug , 2013  Abstract   Background & Aims : Cardiovascular and heart disease are the leading cause of morbidity and mortality in many countries, including Iran. Plenty of evidences demonstrated that there is a link between lifestyle as an important factor in determining prognosis, progression and recurrence of the disease. This study was conducted to determine the patient's lifestyle after hospital discharge.   Materials & Methods : This is a descriptive, cross sectional study in which 385 patients discharged with heart disease were selected by convenience sampling. Data collection was done by interviews and a preset questionnaire that consisted of two parts of graphic information, and another part which is related to lifestyle questions which have been studied in five categories of nutrition, physical activity, smoking, alcohol, sleep patterns, and stress. The collected data were analysed by using SPSS software.  Results: The results confirms that the highest percentage of samples (41.1%) have a moderate lifestyle. Regarding nutrition, 5.54% has average eating style after hospital discharge. In the context of physical mobility, 35.9% have low physical activity, and the highest of samples (52.7%) have had very good lifestyle in the context of smoking. Also 5.45% of samples have a good lifestyle in sleep patterns, and 2.33% of the patients have low stress levels (good).   Conclusion: The results showed that some aspects of life in patients with - coronary heart disease are moderate including eating habits, stress levels, but it was weak in physical activity.
