  Survey on the Methods of Decision Making of Nursing   Managers of Khorasan Medical and Health College     M. Vafaee   Abstract:   Introduction: Decision making is a duty of nursing managers. Participant decision making is rather than to other methods decision making, so is importance survey of decision making of nursing managers.   Methods & Materials: The main objective of the descriptive study was to assess the decision making of nursing managers in hospitals related to medical education and health services university in Khorasan in 1998. For this purpose questionnaires were disributed among 30 nursing managers and 83 head nurses in all of hospitals. The questionnaire consisted of questions of them were related the decision making of nurse manager about 4 item, planning staffing development of personell and control questionnaires are designed according to available information obtaind from scientific texts and articles. Research finding are presented in diagramand 23 tables showing proprotional and absolute frequencies. Analysis of data was done by using pearson corrolation regression, chi square and T. Test.   Results: Results suggest that selected manager in this study did not high score in the decision making about planning, staffing and education in this study suggests that selected managers have high scores in heir decision making about control.   Discussion: The statistical analisis indicated that there is not meaningful correlation between decision making of nursing managers with demographic items. The nursing managers in the decision making about planning, staffing and development of personal using of autocratic and consultative decision making. The nurse managers using in the process of control of group decision making.  �  Key words: Decision Making, Participant, Decision Making, Nursing Managers
