Background & Aims: Study of sex education can prevent some sexual disorders, conflicts and complains. Due to this reason, the aim of this study was an effectiveness of sex education on women sexual schemas, women sexual self-esteem and sexual satisfaction on women who had refereed to counseling centers of Isfahan city.
Materials & Methods: This research was a quasi-experimental with per test, post test study with control group. Participants were selected from women who had refereed to counseling centers of Isfahan city. Participants were randomly assigned to the experimental (15 pairs) and control group (15 pairs). Data was gathered by Questionnaire of cognitive Schemas Activation in Sexual Context (QCSASC), Women Sexual Self-esteem Questionnaire (SSFIW) and Women Sexual Satisfaction (ISS). Sex education as independent criteria was applied on experimental group lasted 15 hours that culminated along 6 weeks including 1 section in each week. Then 3 questionnaires as above was told, examined on both groups (experimental and control).
Results: The results on ANCOVA analysis showed that sex education intervention effected on women sexual self-esteem and sexual satisfaction but had no effect on women sexual schemas.
Conclusion: Sex skills training can improve and increase the sexual satisfaction of women.
