  A Survey on Teacher ' s Idea about Taking Care of   Elder Parents In Urmia in 1383   S. Ahangarzadehrezaee [1] , H. Khalilzadeh [2]   Abstract:   Introduction: Aging is a part of growning process and a time for challanges. In the last decades the older adult population (Those 65 years of age and older) has increasingly grown. It is expected that it will nearly cover 20‑22% of problems population of world. Although most of elderly people prefer to live independently but financial, functional status and physical health may dictate consideration of alternative housing option that provides a more protective and supportive environment where appropriate life circumstance is provided, they will be independent and hopeful.   Methods & Materials: This survey is a descriptive study to assess teacher's idea related to takeing care of parents. Data was gathered by a questionnaire that was taken from the Internet. Samples were female teachers who worked in high schools. The study samples were chosen by purposive sampling method.   Results: Results showed that most of the samples (orderly 56.7%) were in the range of 40-49 years old, 96.7% were married, 80% had two children, 90% licentiate's degree, 70%, had income more than 180/000 Rials and 86.7% had their own homes and so 90% of samples believed that "they were doing everything for elder parents", 86.7% said "they were helping them in financial matters", 66.7% claimed "they were taking care of them at theirs homes", 56.7% said "they were providing independent house for them", 46.7% believed "they were providing care giver to them", 16.7% wanted to send them to nursing houses.   Discussion: According to survey results, researchers suggest that educational system tries to improve social knowledge related to geriatric and family so that they can accept them in their houses.
