Background & aims: Increase the quality of nursing care and efficiency, attract and retention of nurses as the largest section of workers in hospital by improving the quality of their work life and identify affecting factors is essential. This study aimed to affecting quality of work life in the clinical nurses in Kerman. Materials & Method: In this cross-sectional study, 260 nurses who worked in hospitals affiliated to Kerman University of Medical Sciences were selected using stratified random sampling method. Data were collected using a two-part questionnaire that included demographic variables and Quality of Work Life Nursing (QWLN) questionnaire. Data were analyzed using descriptive (mean and standard deviation) and analytic statistical tests (Mann–Whitney and Kruskal–Wallis) using SPSS software version 19. Result: The total mean scores of clinical nurses about quality of work life were in the range of ‘moderate’, and there was significant relationship between having children, leaving work, education, Location of work, overtime working and … with some aspects of quality of work life. Conclusion: Considering the effect of work on individuals, it is recommended that nursing managers make appropriate plans to improve the quality of nursing work life. Also, by monitoring the work environment and determining the issues and the use of interventions, it will help to increase the quality of work life of nurses.
